Carrot Halwa

Carrot halwa (dessert) is a grand treat for the taste buds and almonds tops it with cheerfulness ( .. because monounsaturated fats, phytonutrients, zinc, vitamin B12, iron, and calcium  work together as mood enhancers).

The Recipe:

  • Sauté finely grated shreds of carrots along with a tablespoon of finely grated shreds of apple in plentiful quantity of ghee (clarified butter).
  • Blend the mixture with generous quantity of sugar (… according to preference).
  • Pour whole cream milk and add almonds to combine with the mixture.
  • Stir the amalgam frequently, let all the flavours merge in the milk, to dry up the milk into khoya (dried milk).
